Hi, there – and welcome (back) to The Sunlight Writer!

The Sunlight Writer was created at the beginning of 2021 as a fun virtual corner to host my thoughts on writing, travel, life’s little things, some book reviews, and my general personal journey. Throughout this time, true life has indeed been lived, as Tolstoy expressed it. The Sunlight Writer, as an idea, has been going through many tiny changes along with its creator. We don’t always notice the passing of time or all these little happenings, but they steadily and certainly build up into something new and different.

Since its inception, The Sunlight Writer has received more than 1300 views from all over the world. This is more than its creator could have hoped for or imagined. When this blog was started, its simplest goal was to reach a single person and just put some ideas out there. There was no plan, no certain topic, nor structure in the making – it was about something (writing, books, happenings) and about anything. But although it didn’t have a clear path, this blog has reached somewhere. The outcome of this small endeavor has been gratifying, and the best thing about it is that it can just keep going from here.

It’s time for the Sunlight Writer to revive, to wake up from the deep sleep. The Sunlight Writer has a new and clearer purpose now – to represent that cozy virtual creative nook full of written words and imagination. If you need that calm, serene space bathed in sunlight, where creativity and inspiration matter most, the Sunlight Writer will be there for you. If you want to discover the inner creative in yourself or connect with someone else’s words and sunny energy, the Sunlight Writer can be your little example. There is no perfect plan for this beautiful endeavor, but there is passion, and this will lead it forward.

In more concrete, practical terms, you can expect a dominant mix of the following on the blog:

• Reflections on writing life (the good, the bad, and the ugly, the joy and the struggles)
• Musings about forming/sustaining a creative identity and balancing it with real life (incl. finding different inspirational real or metaphorical places among the mundane)
• Updates on fiction projects (think character-driven detective/mystery fiction with fantasy, mythology, and adventure elements)
• Travelogues and mental escapes (creativity can be found in many different places and exploring our planet is the best fuel for that, I will sure be sharing some travel impressions – moments, moods, memories – not as guides but as glimpses into what matters)
